When you give over most of your private time to a cause, you need some feedback. We got some from former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan on Friday: The Summer of the Angry Mob

Ms. Noonan reflected on the Townhall Revolt which began in St. Louis one year ago. Writes Noonan:

When Rep. Russ Carnahan held a town hall meeting at a community college in Missouri on July 20, he tried patiently to explain that ObamaCare not only would be deficit-neutral, it would save money. They didn’t shout him down, they laughed. When Sen. Claire McCaskill appeared before a town hall meeting in Jefferson County, Mo., on Aug. 11, she responded to the crowd with words that sum up the moment: “I don’t get it. . . . I honestly don’t get it. . . . You don’t trust me?” “No!” the crowd roared.

Do you remember what last summer was like?  I do. I remember being at work on July 20 and getting emails and tweets on my phone.  I remember watching that video, then watching it go viral.  It spread across the country. Suddenly, people in every city were flooding politicians’ formerly sleepy townhall events:

It was a largely self-generated uprising, and it was marked, wherever it happened, in San Diego or St. Louis, by certain common elements. The visiting senator or representative, gone home to visit the voters, always seemed shocked at the size of the audience and the depth of his constituents’ anger. There was usually a voter making a videotape in the back of the hall. There were almost always spirited speeches from voters. There was never, or not once that I saw, a strong and informed response from the congressman. In one way it was like the Iranian revolution: Most people got the earliest and fullest reports of what was happening on the Internet, through YouTube. Voters would take shaky videos on their cellphones and post them when they got home. Suddenly, over a matter of weeks, you could type in “town hall” and you’d get hundreds, and finally thousands, of choices.

Those grainy videos–and some not-so-grainy–came from you.  Darin Morley, Michelle Moore, Adam Sharp, Patch Adams, Dana Loesch, and others.  The video camera became the weapon of choice, and St. Louis became the viral video epicenter of the Tea Party movement.  And we never stopped. Never.

In the heat of August 2009, the action heated up. The SEIU and Russ Carnahan sent thugs to beat us down and intimidate us.  Now, the SEIU enforcers prepare for trial, their apologists accusing the victim of Uncle Tomism.  Barack Obama is considered a Socialist by 55 percent of Americans, and his approval rating is in free fall.  ACORN had been forced to change its name, and the President’s party is in danger of losing the House and Senate in November’s election.  Strong conservative candidates have upset RINOs in numerous states and races.  And the colors of the American flag seem a little deeper–stronger reds, more faithful blues, and blinding whites. As Ms. Noonan observes:

And yet his [Obama's] poll numbers continue to float downward. He is not more loved with victory. To an unusual and maybe unprecedented degree his victories seem like victories for him, and for his party, and for his agenda, but they haven’t settled in as broad triumphs that illustrate power and competence.

Take a moment to reflect on the long, hot August of 2009. Many of us went toe-to-toe with the enemy, day after day. I was five confrontational protests in seven days at one point, and I saw many of the same faces at each of them.  We were defiant yet friendly, confrontational yet civilized.  Outspent $10,000,000 to $1, we forced the Socialist Obama to wait eight monts for his healthcare victory, and then it was watered down.  And it will cost him if we make it.

It’s not quite morning in America, but the sun is on the rise.  The left is on the run.  We’re ready for the sprint to November and the party afterwards.  Victory is in the air, and I love it.  God help me, I love it so.

Dana Loesch and 24th State have revealed the ring of corruption that extends from St. Louis bloggers and local St. Louis leftist rag, through SEIU, to Media Matters and Huffington Post. 

An additional crook in this den of thieves is Democrat Senator Bob Casey of Pennsylvania. Casey has introduced yet another bailout package.  This time, the bailout is intended to repay corrupt unions like SEIU and AFL-CIO for bankrupting their members’ retirements by bribing the media and politicians.

Here’s what it looks like.

1. Call any SEIU member you know and ask them to quit the corrupt union that beats innocent people for political gain.
2. Melt Senator Bob Casey’s phone lines and flood his in box (Address and phones below).
3. Ensure Democrat Bob Casey is a member of the minority following November 2010 elections.
4. Redistribute, embed the Prezi above everywhere you can.

This is corruption compounded by physical, criminal assault and political intimidation. And Bob Casey want you to fund it at gun point.

Interesting.   Mounting evidence suggests the White House may have been complicit in SEIU’s terrorism (as defined by U.S. Patriot Act) of a banker’s teenage son. 

Quit the SEIU.  No decent person would belong to an organization that openly, and with the federal government’s approval, uses terrorism to get its way.

Quit the DC Metro Police Force.  The President is using you to promote domestic terrorism.  Fight him—the real enemy.

Finally, is there anything more hypocritical and disgusting than a healthcare worker who joins the SEIU?  I suppose they use their thugs to drum up business. Sinful.

Ready for a bombshell?  SEIU gave Media Matters $50,000 in November of last year, just as the police report story was breaking on Big Government.  In response, Media Matters began a series of reports attacking Big Government for its series of stories calling for Justice. 

Fascinating, no?   The reason for the SEIU donations?  Communications.

Perhaps that would explain this post from Media Matters, published one week after the check was received (maybe they waited for it to clear).

Of course, there was no super secret evidence.  There was just, the evidence, which Pat Redington sat on for almost four months.  Media Matters thought they had it in the bag.  With no charges filed two months after the assault, they felt safe writing that the assault was a scam.

And then the police report hit, and then the series of witnesses, and the KMOX report.  And so charges were filed, with no credible explanation as to why it took so long.  

There are going to be a series of revelations popping up in the next week or so, but keep in mind that SEIU staff members are facing jail time for criminal assault, and Media Matters stepped up the attacks after receiving $50,000 in donations from SEIU.   What did SEIU get for their money?  Not much. Just yesterday, Media Matters inadvertently admitted that hospital records viewed by the prosecuting attorney helped lead to the assault charges.

This is why you don't pull on sweater threads, people.

One of the advantages of sustained research time is being able to connect the dots between different organizations as they push issues onto the Missouri taxpayers.

The latest in scams is the Metro tax, which is yet another attempt to shuffle money to consultants and construction companies at the price of a sensible transportation policy.

I’ll let other people talk about the tax, but I want to draw your attention to the people that are pushing this tax.

Basically, every troll, goblin, newt, shrike, and mushroom cap leftist is on board, which can only mean they are getting paid, and are mobilizing because they know there’s taxpayer money for them.

We saw this in Jefferson County with the 911 Dispatch.  SEIU members and Missouri ProVote were all over their elections, and sought to get council members elected who could shift taxpayer funds back to the progressive groups for activist campaigns.

And so now Jobs with Justice is asking for volunteers for their phone bank to try to drive attention to the Metro tax (which was defeated in November when it was half as much).

One has to ask why groups like InsteadofWar are supporting a Metro tax initiative.  The ANSWER (pun slightly intended) is that these groups are getting money to push it.

The phone bank is run by SEIU MO/KS State Council, the political arm of SEIU.  No doubt that the usual assorted groups of leftwing losers are seeking to make a little scratch, and a reward for sucking up to the county is cash donations.  Sadly, much of the money trail is going to be hidden – we won’t be able to tell who is giving money and who is taking it, but we can be assured that if there is a phone bank, ACORN, SEIU, Missouri ProVote, JobsWithJustice, and the like are getting paid to push the tax.  This is how the siphoned off funds in Jefferson County.  The same cast of characters is at it again, seeking to add hundreds of millions of dollars to the budgets of politicians.

St. Louis Protects SEIU: A DA Ignores Charges in the Gladney Beating

I think we all owe John a “Thank You” for his continuing courage in exposing union and government corruption. 

When the SEIU members went to the town hall meeting hosted by Democrat Congressman Russ Carnahan, did they have a fight on their minds?  Were they spurred on by The President’s words or the HCAN national Field Advisor Margarida Jorge’s talking points?  Did the favorite White House guest, Andy Stern promise the POTUS that the situation would be dealt with, as a way to curry favor with the King?  We may never know if there was a specific instruction given, but we do know that four adults from the same gang decided simultaneously to mingle with the protestors and then single one out for a beating.  We also know that the union has hired for them, Paul D’Agrosa one of the top criminal defense lawyers in St. Louis.  Finally, we know that County Counselor Patricia Reddington, who serves at the pleasure of Democrat County Executive Charlie Dooley (previously a union member) is not moving the case.
