Can Anyone Clean Up America’s Most Corrupt State Government?
I’ve heard some crazy radio advertising about some of the races in Illinois. The primary is February 2, so campaign season is in full swing. With 7 (count ‘em, seven) Republicans vying to be governor of America’s most corrupt state government, it’s worth examining this race a bit. Turns out, that’s a pretty easy chore. There’s one Tea Party guy in the race against a bunch of Republicans.
Adam Andrzejewski is a “reform activist,” according to The Daily Herald. According to people I’d trust with my life—or my kids’ lives—he’s about America, the Tea Party ideals, Illinois, and a whole bunch of other things before you get to GOP. That might not sit well with career Republican activists, but should sit well with independents, conservative Democrats, and Republican voters. Not to mention the center-right coalition that includes Libertarian and Constitution Party members.
If the Tea Party movement is about anything, it’s about cleaning up government. Springfield, Illinois, is the most target-rich environment for corruption curing on the planet. Perhaps most impressive, Polish liberator Lech Walesa will be in Chicago on Friday, January 29, to speak on Adam’s behalf.
If you’re too young to remember, Lech Walesa led the Iron Curtain countries in their fight against the Soviet Union in the late 1970s and 1980s. Here’s the opening paragraph of Time’s review from its 100 most influential people of the 20th century:
Lech Walesa, the fly, feisty, mustachioed electrician from Gdansk, shaped the 20th century as the leader of the Solidarity movement that led the Poles out of communism. It is one of history’s great ironies that the nearest thing we have ever seen to a genuine workers’ revolution was directed against a so-called workers’ state. Poland was again the icebreaker for the rest of Central Europe in the "velvet revolutions" of 1989. Walesa’s contribution to the end of communism in Europe, and hence the end of the cold war, stands beside those of his fellow Pole, Pope John Paul II, and the Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev.
Illinois is a key partner for Missouri. Dealing with the corrupt, nearly bankrupt mess left by Blagojovich is too much work for an ordinary politician. But the Tea Partiers are cut for this kind of crap clearing. And we’ve been preaching the need to win primaries for real reformers. Andrzejewski is the real reformer in this race. Let’s go all in. Let’s help clean up Barry’s home town.

I have never adorned any of my vehicles with a bumper sticker. There is something about them (especially political ones) that I find undesirable. I suppose they’re too much like a tattoo for my taste (hard to get rid of).
However, I have seen a few stickers that I thought were truly bumper worthy. I might be tempted to change my mind if I found one that said…
IF YOU’RE IN, YOU’RE OUT!
That pretty much sums up my sentiments for the majority of our legislators in Washington regardless of Party affiliation.

My family and I are volunteering in Southern IL for the Andrzejewski (AN-G-F-SKI) campaign. I spent a couple of hours with Adam on Saturday at a couple of his stops in Southern Illinois. He’s real – he wants what we need!
One of his immediate actions as Governor of Illinois would be to order an audit of all state agencies. The founding documents of our nation clearly stated the importance of accountabilty-we all need to be accountable.
Adam believes that government must be of the people, by the people, for the people.
