Unimaginable Hubris
The voters of Massachusetts rebuked Obama’s planned seizure of America’s healthcare business. Did that humble and inform the President?
No. It seems to have enraged him.
In order to prove he is bloody well in charge of this country, Barack Obama responded to the Massachusetts Miracle by disclosing his plan to seize the banking industry, once and for all.
In response, the stock markets have crashed in a 3-day slide that threatens to extend into next week:
From Yahoo Finance:
The stock market suffered its worst setback in more than 10 months this week as investors decided no matter what the news, it must be bad.
Investors continued to worry about President Barack Obama’s plan to restrict big banks. They decided that good earnings reports weren’t good enough.
Barack Obama is threatening to plunge America into economic depression by insisting on socializing our industries and sectors. Having already nationalized 2/3 of America’s auto industry, and having apparently failed in his attempt to take over healthcare, Obama’s decision to seize the college student loan industry and micro-manage the entire banking industry demonstrates either (a) unimaginable hubris concerning his desire to socialize the whole of our society, or (b) remarkable ignorance of interplay of government and the economy.
Mr. Obama patronizingly begain calling himself “a populist” in stump speeches about jobs and the economy on Thursday. Obama ignored the economy after passing the pork-filled Stimulus bill in the first weeks of his presidency. His rhetoric has returned to economics in hopes of arresting his popularity crash. It won’t work.
The Tea Party movement has made many of us much wiser. Too many of us for Obama’s liking. We no longer fall for his scripted, tested, and prompted lines designed to make us feel good without telling us why. Now we know—there is no why. The hope he spoke of was for himself, and his “change” wasn’t about taming government but subduing the people.
In 2010, we, the people, intend to defy his attempts to enslave us. We intend to humble the President and to re-take the government we created.

What did you think was going to happen? Obama is a thug politician from Chicago and when he is off the teleprompter he makes mistakes, because he is not that brilliant. He was a Community Organizer and likes having his way. After all its the CHICAGO WAY. When he doesn’t get his way he gets angry and it shows. Unfortunately he is the most powerfull man in the world and when he speaks people can get hurt. Now he wants to act like a populist and will be attacking the banks and big business to supposedly show he is the MAN OF THE PEOPLE and he is fighting for us. What a joke, but the lame stream media will go along with it.You can only hope the American people will not.
The State of the Union speech is coming this week and watch for the Obama speech trick – the dichotomy. This technique works like this- he might say “we need a strong banking system/bank, but they will have to accept a certain amount of new regulation.” So, if you want strong banks, you heard him say he’s for it. If you don’t, you heard him say he’s for that, too. Every speech employs this technique and he can’t get away from it. In his last speech, he said “But this isn’t about me… and then in the next 6 sentences he said “I”. He said he’d “hold the insurance industry accountable and bring more stability and security to folks” giving cover to both sides of the issue, without ever addressing either.
In the State of the Union (or any speech) check to see if you can figure out where HE stands on an issue. Can anyone tell whether he is for a single payer insurance system or not? No, because he says he wants you to be able to keep your plan if you like it, but you need another option. Well, what is that option the he will stand behind?
In the primary, he took stands on a lot of issues (even got specific),but has not taken one since or kept the stands from the primary. In Ohio, he repeated “I’ll fight for…”, but can you name one thing he has fought for this past year? He gave every issue to someone else to take a stand and now they will live or die by that stand, but his hands won’t have any dirt on them.
As my old preacher used to say – Your walk talks and your talk talks, but your walk talks louder than your talk talks.
