McCaskill proves we were right
Last August in numerous town hall meetings, Senator McCaskill touted her personal pro-life beliefs and proclaimed that she would “vote her conscience” on the health care bill. Yesterday she proved once again that this was nothing but political baloney.
Here was a chance for her to support a specific amendment sponsored by Senator Nelson that would do nothing more than continue current policy limiting government funding for elective abortion. It contained none of the “nuances” that politicians typically use to explain how they can claim to be Catholic and yet vote in support of a bill that promotes abortion, because of its other “social justice” features.
Nelson’s bill was a simple and direct attempt to respect the consciences of millions who don’t want their tax dollars spent on abortion. It was a clear test to see if McCaskill’s actions would match her words, and she failed. Her claim to have a pro-life conscience is proven to be bogus. Her actions show that she is just another phony Catholic Democrat politician who votes the party line regardless of moral implications.
As a pro-life Catholic, I turn to the bishops and ask them, “Have you finally seen through this political liar? Will you continue to stand silently while she woos Catholic voters and then spits on their values? Don’t you understand that your silence in situations like this gives grave scandal to your flocks?”

Obtaining and forwarding 199 signatures (for McCaskill) on my local Tea Party “Manifesto” against federal bailout spending and other unconstitutional spending, and 123 signatures directed to her in July at the County Fair against Health Care Reform, obviously carries no weight.
There is a reason this is not one of the powers enumerated in Article I, Section 8. Medical care decisions need to be kept closer to the people, via lower levels of government. A U.S. Senator cannot represent the people on this matter. The Founders understood this. They saw that the federal government was about the “Big Picture.” That’s why Health Care (and Legal Care, Grocery Care, Home Repair Care, etc. etc.) is not included.
Save the date for the Missouri Sovereignty Project rally in Jefferson City on January 13, 2010, starting at 10 a.m. in the First Floor Rotunda. Resist the tyranny!
I gave up on Claire months ago, she has made it clear she is not interested in what We the People have to say. Its all about Her. She is an Obongo lackey, she will do whatever he wants, she thinks he will give her special favors. She Must GO. I listened to her on the radio, she failed to answer any of the questions, she just rambled on, but just confused every issue and when it was over you said What did she Say? VOTE HER OUT!!!
Why dont we protest outside of the SEIU office. there is one near “the Hill” in So. St. Louis.
When i got married in the 70s, i moved to Belleville IL. I was told that the horse barn off of hwy 15 was burned down by the union because the entrance was not “union built”… fact or fiction? Just remember how those days were. Im not against good unions, just violent ones
I truly hope the person who runs against Mama McCaskill gets a tape of her saying that we shouldn’t vote for her if we didn’t agree with her. I want to see that commercial.
I call her Mama McCaskill because she talks down to us as if she is our mom and we are stupid teenagers. She has got to go.
My (home schooled) teenagers know what is in Article I, Section 8, because that was the subject of an essay assignment this fall.
That puts them out in front of the patronizing, condescending Senator McCaskill, who takes the approach of “we [in Congress, referring to the health care legislation] just didn’t explain it well enough for people to understand.” It is very clear that the mentality behind such comments is that her constituents are slow on the uptake, and need her to educate us. What an affront this is! This is coming from illiterate people who can’t even read red ink.
Honestly, America is being “experted” to death.
I got an email from Claire yesterday about how small business needs to get stimulated. Like she would have a clue. This is from a woman that even though she was elected to one of the highest branches of government, doesn’t understand the constitution. She doesn’t understand why people are upset that their elected government is trying to enslave them. Expect nothing from her. Like her fearless leaders, Harry Reid and Obama, SHE LIES.
Also look at what is coming down the pike in 2010. If we are not careful we’ll end up with Robin Carnahan for senator. That’s just what we need, another lieing Carnahan feeding at the federal trough.
PEOPLE BEFORE PARTY, COUNTRY BEFORE SELF. ALL OTHERS NEED NOT APPLY.
I am not a Constitutional scholar, but as an educated reader of this document it is clear that many provisions in the HC bill are unconstitutional.
Our Senate/Congressional/Executive leaders in Washington have sworn an oath, on the Bible and to America, to uphold the Constitution when executing the duties of their office.
Clearly, the Dems are operating outside the Constitution.
The question is: is this pure negligence or a deliberate action?
As the Constitutionality of certain provisions in this bill are now being called into question, it is the duty of each political leader to stop and study, debate and revise.
To go ahead with a vote and to vote yes to a bill chock full of these Constitutional questions would be a vote against the Constitution itself.
To this, one could be viewed as committing treason to the Constitution.
The definition of treason or being a traitor is one who ’says one thing and does another’. Another difinition is one who is disloyal to our soverighnty or to the nation.
In otherwords, and in my opinion, those who vote for passage of this HC bill in it’s current form without securing the Consitutionality or the bill are commiting treason.
The bigger concern here is, without some action before the 2010 elections (and reflecting back on the massive changes this year) our country could be destroyed by these traitors within our political process.
In addition, the courts are being stacked against a pure Consitution outcome, so fighting this in court may well bring more power to these traitoris politicians.
Can anything other than a revolution be done at this point?
I am not optomistic that there can be any other resolve.
