“Brought into the office”…like Douglas Elmendorf (CBO) was after the first estimate didn’t look too good. Like being “taken to the woodshed”. All consistent with what U.S. Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R, MN) called “gangster government.”

Why isn’t Ike Skelton (D, 4th CD) on the list? Springfield News-Leader says he’s against. Is it because he caves in on other things too reliably, and this buys him immunity?
Honoring the Oath to the U.S. Constitution, and the 10th Amendment (State Sovereignty, anyone?) is a way out. This way, I don’t have to become the bill-reading student slave of the tyrants who draft these mega-tomes of legislative lunacy. “Read these 2,000 pages, and cross check every reference to the existing U.S. Code, or we’ll take your liberty away!” I’m too busy home schooling, splitting my own firewood, cooking from scratch, etc. etc.
