Republican Party Meltdown
On November 3, New York’s 23rd Congressional District—60 percent Republican—will probably go a liberal Democrat. The reason? Because the Republican National Committee and New York’s Republican Party want to give the district to far left, pro-abortion, pro-Card Check radical Republican.
STAY UP TO DATE ON NY-23 AT DUMPDEDE.COM.
The Republican Party, according to RINO David Frum, “State Republican Party leaders prevented an open primary race and instead engineered the nomination of one of their own, moderate, pro-choice Assemblywoman Deirdre Scozzafava.” (In Frum’s view, Van Jones is a “moderate.”)
That engineering feat by the state GOP–with the full backing of Michael Steele, Newt Gingrich, and many other GOP leaders—has sent ripples through the GOP. Today or tomorrow, Sarah Palin is expected to endorse Conservative Party candidate, Doug Hoffman. Dana Loesch and I have both skewered the GOP over this slap-in-the-face to the coalition that stalled ObamaCare, back-burnered Cap and Trade, and reset Obama’s agenda. Michelle Malkin reports that NRCC and RNC fund raising efforts are collapsing.
Personally, I can’t believe that the only Republican candidate in Missouri with the courage call out the RNC and New York’s Republican “leaders” is Ed Martin Jr. I’m not surprised by Ed’s courage, but by the lack of courage or awareness shown by the rest of this state’s Republican leaders.
For Republicans, NY-23 is a chance to stand for principle or to cave to the cowardice of party politics. Politicians often have lots of excuses for inaction, but in this matter, we will accept no substitute for courage.
ACTION
First, if you get a fundraising request from any GOP group, Newt Gingrich, or anyone else supporting leftist Scozzafava, send it back with an angry note: “I AM A TEA PARTIER. I DON’T GIVE MONEY TO LEFTISTS.”
Then, call, write, or visit Missouri GOP leaders and demand they denounce Scozzafava and/or endorse Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman in NY-23.

I just used the RNC’s own postage to return one of their annoying “survey” fundraisers. I wrote with my Sharpie: “Dump Dede–and don’t talk to me ’til you do.”
Have you used their BRE to make a statement?
Newt was on Greta and in his last comment to her, Newt states “you strengthen yourself by attracting more people than by driving them away” implying that you must compromise your conservative principles in order to expand the party. I disagree. You stand on conservative principles and let the people come to you. He is supporting Dede Scozzafava in New York. Arlen Spectre has already left the Republican Party. The Republicans do not need another Olympia Snowe or Susan Collins. I believe Newt is positioning himself to run for President as a middle of the roader. He stated the Era of Reagan Conservatism is over. I remember when Gary Gill was leading Dick Gephardt in the polls until Newt praised Gephardt. He did a Climate Change commercial with Pelosi, and teamed up with Sharpton on education. Is Newt a real conservative Republican?
