The President Is Foundering
Sometimes, the top stories on Drudge tell you all you need to know about a situation. Here’s what leads off today:
Obama: Republican conspiracy out to kill health reform…
Charlie Cook: Dem situation has ‘slipped completely out of control’…
Post-Partisan Promise Fizzles…
NOONAN: Pull the Plug on ObamaCare…
Stephanopoulos: Americans ‘Worried He’s Getting in Over His Head’…
Obama’s blame-game list…
Voight: Is Obama creating a civil war in America?…
Think about it. This guy won the election by a large margin, both popular votes and electoral college. His party has controlled both houses of Congress since January 2007. Now, his party has a 40-seat lead in the House and filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. The president’s party could literally do anything it wants and no one could stop them.
Yet the President blames that inconsequential minority for “blocking” a Washington takeover of healthcare in America.
Think about this, 54 percent of Americans prefer NO ACTION on healthcare over Obama’s plan. Conservatives outnumber liberals in all 50 states. A plurality trust the GOP on healthcare more than they trust Democrats.
So if the President wants to “blame” Republicans for doing right by 54 percent of the people and pluralities in all 50 states, then the GOP should gladly accept that “blame.”
But both would be wrong.
It’s not the GOP, Obama.
It’s the people, stupid.
Grow up, Mr. President. And learn to count.

He’s also floundering, which is appropriate for all the fishy stuff he’s trying to pull.
