One Thousand Show Up to Speak to McCaskill *UPDATES*

After the “unfortunate incident” outside Claire McCaskill’s Delmar office two weeks ago, Americans for Prosperity President, Carl Bearden, secured an agreement with Senator McCaskill to meet with the AFP, Tea Party, and conerned citizens.  Tonight, more than 1,000 concerned citizens attended the meeting at St. Louis Community College–Forest Park Campus.  The crowd was so large that school moved the location to the student cafeteria.

For more than an hour, frightened, angry, and remarkably informed citizens voiced their concerns with socialized medicine as promoted by the current administration.  At least 4 of 20 or so speakers had read the entire bills–that’s a higher ratio of people who’ve read the legislation than found among members of Congress.

The message from the people was loud and clear:  keep your hands off my healthcare.  Speakers read passages from the bills, including provisions for the government to spy on your checking account and other spending, provisions to order end of life services if the government believes a patient is not worth saving, and more horror stories.

A nurse recounted a time she was coerced into participating in a partial-birth abortion at a St. Louis hospital.  She found out what she was assisting with when a doctor handed her the decapitated head of a baby, complete with hair, eyelashes, and a pain-filled grimace.  Under ObamaCare, doctors and nurses will be forced to perform late-term abortions regardless of religious or personal beliefs.  ObamaCare cares nothing for morality, civility, or decency.
