I agree with continuing with food collection, but it does create a problem.

We did not announce the food collection for Tax Day until we'd received commitments from Circle of Concern and from Operation Food Search that they would provide vehicles and collection points. We do not have the staff and equipment to manage a major food drive without the help of food banks and pantries. We could, but that would create a major distraction that would necessarily diminish the effectiveness of the movement's main goal: changing government.

We'll continue to discuss how to move forward. For the time being, we ask Tea Party Patriots to donate to Circle of Concern generously outside of the Tea Party events. If someone within the movement would volunteer to manage food drives, perhaps we can continue making this fantastic outreach part of our mission. Otherwise, we may have to stick to our primary goal: changing government.

My request would be to stay with food, pantries are running low right now
and it will only get worse. Let's find another taker and not let them run
our group with their deception and lies. What a crock. This should be
a big story.
