Over 300 Cities Confirmed for April 15 Tea Party

The Tea Party movement has grown from 1 city on February 22 and 40 on February 27 to over 300 cities on April 15. By July 4, this could be the largest grassroots movement in US history.  By election day 2010, it could be a new political party controlling Congress.

Seem far fetched?  The Republican Party was launched in 1854 in opposition to slavery.  By 1860, it controlled the White House and Congress. 

Don’t underestimate the power of millions of angry people committed to a cause that is both morally and politically vital to freedom.  Ours is.

Turnout Is Key

The Tea Party movement will reach a tipping point when our numbers become so large that we can’t be ignored.  I don’t know what that number is, but my gut tells me we’ll approach it on the 15th.

Once we reach the tipping point, things will happen quickly.  Those in power will try to dismiss us.  Then they’ll try to absorb us (triangulation), finally, they’ll try to destroy us. 

Prepare Now for the Onslaught

Until now, we’ve flown under the radar.  While we all complain (including me) about the lack of major media coverage, its absence has served us well.  The parties, especially the one in power, have not confronted us.  They have not sent their goon squads after our leaders.  They have not organized counter-protests.  They have not sent spies to our trash cans. 

They will.

Once we become headline news, we will become a threat. Their responses will be predictable.  Prepare now to ignore their attacks and stay on message:  Repeal the Pork, Retire, Cut Taxes, and Learn the Constitution.

On to Victory

I don’t know about you, but I’m in this thing to WIN.  To quote Patton: 

When you, here, everyone of you, were kids, you all admired the champion marble player, the fastest runner, the toughest boxer, the big league ball players, and the All-American football players. Americans love a winner. Americans will not tolerate a loser. Americans despise cowards. Americans play to win all of the time. I wouldn’t give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That’s why Americans have never lost nor will ever lose a war; for the very idea of losing is hateful to an American.

That perfectly expresses the true American position on winning and losing.  We don’t give trophies to everyone for attending—we give them to the champion. 

This Is War

While our weapons are email, Twitter, rallies, and ballots, our objective is the same as any other army’s:  the unconditional surrender of the enemy by taking and holding the enemy’s land, resources, and capital.  There is no compromise with the devil, and the devil, in this case, is socialism.

So please recruit!  We need every soldier we can muster.
